DIRECTOR'S Q&A:

1. Why did you decide to make PUSHER 2 after so many years?

After completing FEAR X which was a very hard film to finance and make. I decided to make a small Danish film, something that would be easy for me to write, finance and direct. At the same time I also had my first child and I wanted to stay close to home, so that's why I decided to shoot PUSHER 2 & PUSHER 3 back to back here in Copenhagen... and I guess I needed the money...

2. Was it hard to follow up on the success of the first PUSHER?

Personally it was the biggest challenge for me, since it is always very difficult to follow up on something that the audience already knows what is and what to expect, but I always say; if you trust your instincts you will end up with something interesting, and I am very pleased with how the film turned out, I even think it's better than the first PUSHER film.

3. What is it about these stories you find interesting?

I don't have any interest in crime or drugs or anything in that matter whatsoever, but I do find it interesting dealing with people under pressure, that usually ends up being good drama.

4. What are your future plans?

I usually work on 2 or 3 projects at the same time, one of them being BILLY'S PEOPLE which will be my next American film, but I do have a strong feeling that the film I will be making before BILLY'S PEOPLE will be about the Vikings discovering America.
